Dick Terrell Brown is in charge of our Austin office. He was reared in San Antonio where his father was a general practice lawyer and then a District Judge and his mother was a speech therapist. Third in birth order, Dick is the oldest of his parent’s three surviving children. Dick and his wife, Cinda, attend Austin Ridge Bible Church in Austin and try to spend as much time as they can with their friends, family, and daughters at their families’ vacation homes on the Guadalupe River in Hunt and in Boulder, Colorado.
Their daughters are Melissa, a Geology graduate of Texas A&M University and a Registered Veterinary Technician who lives in Fredericksburg, and Lucinda, an Elementary Special Education graduate of Texas Christian University who lives in Austin. Cinda, who is Marketing Director for The Mangold Group CPAs, PC, comes from Houston, where her father, both of her grandfathers, all of her uncles, and lots of her cousins are lawyers.
After many years of traveling all over the U.S. and the world helping corporate clients, Dick decided to stay at home and travel for pleasure. He has restricted his law practice to helping individuals and small business owners to deal with today and plan for their and their families’ future.
Dick is a graduate mechanical engineer (UT Austin, 1966) and worked in Washington, D.C. in the Propulsion Division of the Naval Air Systems Command and in San Antonio for the Air Force Logistics Command before he began his law studies at St. Mary’s University School of Law in San Antonio.
On graduating from the St. Mary’s University School of Law in 1972, Dick became a Texas lawyer continuing the tradition of three generations of his Texas ancestors. After more than ten years of practice in San Antonio, Dick moved to Austin in 1984 and is in charge of the firm’s Austin office.
